How long does it take the roll n grow garden to start growing?

Question:I just got one...prepped the garden space and rolled it out. I have kept it watered but, living in Florida the sun can dry it out fairly quickly. I was wondering how long it took for the blooms to start growing for someone else who has used the roll n grow successfully.

Answers:
Mine sprouted within a week. Put it in place, covered it with a half inch of potting soil, and watered it daily. Some items will start to sprout within 4 days or so. If yours is drying out, try laying down a nice layer of straw over the soil. This will keep some of the moisture in, while allowing some light through. Burlap works well too. You will never get it to sprout if it dries up every day under the hot sun. Water it well the first time, and keep it covered with something. Water daily. You will get results within a week.

Charlee,

I've been gullible enough to try those things a couple of times but I've never been able to make them grow. Mine just up and died and dried and blew the heck away. I wish you luck!
I just read the stuff on the link the person above sited---I TOO bought 2 rolls but from a HOME DEPOT store.did EXACTLY to the letter what it said to do in the instructions and got absolutely NOTHING...talk about a watched pot that never boils....these sheets aren't even worth using for TOILET PAPER!!! sounded like such a good idea too when they came out with it.
