Question about garden planters pot?

Question:I was recently given a plant stand, and have no pot to put in it. I saw a nice one when I was shopping tonight it is a 9 inch pottery pot. I did not buy it because I was unsure of the base measurement of my stand. When I got home I measuered it and the bottom of the base is 8" and the top part is 10". Will the 9 inch pot work? I think it would be too small at the bottom . . .but it was a really nice pot. Any suggestions? Help please.

I think it would be perfect. You said the bottom of the base of your plant stand is 8" and the top part is 10". Is the 9" pot tapered to fit into the 8" inch base. If so then it would work.
Your plant will grow over the sides anyway, so that is not a big deal.

The important thing is if you like the nice pot that you found then get it !! :)))

If the top of the pot is 9 inches and it narrows down to the base it will work. You will hardly notice that the pot is slightly smaller.

If the new pot could falls though the base of the stand place a saucer or something like that in the base of the plant stand for the new pot to sit on.
