Avocado tree.?
Question:Okay, this is pretty hard to explain, but here goes. A while ago, I made some quacamole and decided to use the avocado pit to grow a tree. I didn't have any toothpicks on hand, so I used a small two pointed fork utensil and one of those thing you put into the sides of a cob of corn to hold it as you eat. Now the corn holder is rusting and is coming out of the avocado pit. I dont know what else to stick in there because the toothpicks arent strong enough to support it and I cant fit another small fork utensil in the holes already made. Plus, the fork utensil and the corn holder both are keeping the avocado pit from splitting completely apart. Any ideas?
Answers:
Try sharpening a couple bamboo chopsticks and using them to replace both the fork and the corn holder. The pit will split as the tree grows so if you already have roots, you might consider placing the pit into a container of vermiculite so it can grow more than water roots so it will be easier later on to move it to potting soil.
