My currant bushes...?

Question:I have 3 red currant bushes that always produce a lot of delicious berries that last all summer. It seems that the bush maybe got more leafy, or somethings not right, because half of the berries look big and ripe and ready to eat, while I can find many berries thay are still green. Stranger yet, I sometimes find a bright red berry on the same vine as several green ones. It seems like the few branches that stick up way up into the sky ripen first, but still, there are green ones. Why is this happening?

Answers:
that's normal
