SIlly question-- what kind of gas do you put in a regular push lawn mower?
Question:I"ve never had to fill up the tank on a mower before so I don't have a clue... is it just regular unleaded gas from a gas station or what? Please don't laugh :-]
Answers:
Nothing to laugh at. It's a good question. Regular is all you should use. In our part of the country we have 10% eeethanol or regular and E-85. We are not even supposed to use the 10% ethanol.
So...no, not a silly question.
87, 89, or 93 octane, it really doesn't matter!
Use the same regular unleaded gas that you use in your car. Just make sure that you put it in an approved container for gasoline.
A regular push mower doesn't use gas. If you have a gas mower just put in the cheapest regular gas you can find.
Regular unleaded
It depends if it is a two-stroke or four-stroke engine. A four-stroke would just take your regular (cheap) gas. With a two-stroke you would need to add oil to the gas, there is special oil for the gas - it is not just motor oil.
You need to find the manual or look up the model online to find out which.
Without me knowing the model number I could not tell you for certain. However, if you post it I could look it up or you could 'Google' the model to find out
