I've heard that Starbucks coffee grounds are good for your garden. Do they work on your lawn also?

Question:

Answers:
any coffee grounds (even Starbucks) changes the pH in the soil-acid loving plants really benefit. Also it breaks up some clay soil if you add enough-and earthworms seem to like it. I added egg shells and called it my breakfast garden! It's great on blueberry plants and hydrangeas--for sure.

Some people add coffee grounds to their garden soil. It doesn't have to be starbucks! Grounds are beans, so they are just organic matter and break down. Some people feel that they make the plants grow better. There is no evidence either way. Adding them to your lawn makes no sense.
There is nothing special about Starbucks,Any coffee grinds will work.
it isn't just Starbucks coffee grounds it is ANY grounds that is good for the garden, it is good for the soil not just gardening so yes it may help the lawn.
coffee grounds are beneficial, especially as one poster explained, for plants that thrive in slightly acidic soil conditions.

however... do NOT use the grounds from chemically decaffeinated coffees! you will seriously damage your plants. the organically decaffed ones are OK.
