Why are the leaves on my cherry tomato plant turning yellow?
Question:I am growing it in a large pot, it grew tall and has alot of tomatoes, but the bottom leaves are turning yellow
Answers:
It's pretty common to see this on tomato plants and really isn't too big a deal, I've found.
Either they aren't getting enough water consistently or there is not enough nitrogen in your potting soil.
If it really bothers you, fertilize with a good quality vegetable fertilizer (follow the directions on the package) and keep watering deeply and consistently.
This is normal and nothing to worry about.
they probly dont have enough water
Hey mine are too. I have six potted beefsteaks and one is really bad with the yellow leaves and thinking of keeping it away from the others in case it's got a disease.
I'll be lookin' at other's answers on this one.
GOOD QUESTION!
The soil is too acidy. Put about 1 capful of hydrogen peroxide per gallon of water and give it to them. It will give the roots more oxygen.
its just normal dont worry abt it my one has turned yellow too.
If it is just the bottom leaves, they're just aging leaves. If others follow, your plant is deficient in iron. Spray it with fish emulsion
If it's more than just the bottom leaves, it's caused by iron deficiency. You can get liquid iron at any nursery supply place, or Home Depot, etc., and mix it with water and use it just like you do when you water the plant. You can pour it on the leaves also.
