Depending on your climate you may be able to grow Venus Fly Traps, they are native only to the Carolina's and are bog plants, so where ever you may plant them will have to continually stay wet.
If you want a natural fly killer, do not bother the spiders and they make for some of the best fly killers.
Fly swatter's inside, and you might be able to find one of those sticky tapes, they work but they are also nasty.
If you do hang sticky strips, hang them high enough someone doesn't walk into them and they will also get caught in your hair and that's just gross.

To get rid of one once it's inside, try ushering it out the door (you'd be surprised how often this works). If this doesn't work, an old fashioned fly swatter is best - don't use chemical sprays - they hurt you more than the flies. Don't bother killing them on the outside - they are part of the food chain and supply food for many beneficial creatures that are good for your yard.
