How can I get rid of the ivy taking over my yard?

Question:

Answers:
Spray it very heavy with a total vegetation killer best time to do this is during a dry period. The poison will be absorbed thru the leaves to the roots it will take a few weeks and maybe a repeat spray.

BURN THEM
spray it down with weed killer. really really strong potent weed killer. i have it and i cant get rid of it! AAARGH! im waiting for it to dry out before we spray it all down.
I have it, too. I mow it and clip the runners and cut it back with the shovel to where I want it to be. If you want to eradicate it do the same plus spray it with a product like 'Weed B Gone' mixed very strong. Keep doing it for about three years and there will eventually be no trace of it.

PS You can't burn it. It has too much moisture to burn.
One has to get down on the knees. Not to beg. That might help too.

It is a painful process of search and remove. Keeps one trim.
