Strobilanthes dyerianus $7.00
Persian shield
You've probably seen the pictures; now get the real thing! Persian shield's lush tropical foliage looks like a stained glass window, its 6” long pointed leaves of metallic purple dramatically etched by black-green veins. Older leaves change from purple to pale pink and shimmering silver on top while remaining wine-purple underneath. Happy in sun or light shade, 24-30" tall Persian shield is perfect for borders or containers, sending out colorful new foliage until frost. Blend it with silver centaurea, Salvia 'Waverly', and pink pentas.
Sun to light shade / z8b-11 / Burma / Acanthaceae / Item #307
