Chipmunk ate the stalk of my lily plant. Can I save it?

Question:A chipmunk dug a whole around my lily plant and ate the stalk and it broke off under the ground almost at the root. I have the plant stalk in my house in a vase full of water in hopes that it will still bloom. It is 3 1/2 feet tall with so many buds, I have to see it bloom! Is there something I can do to help save it. Will it come back next year now that this happened?

Answers:
It might bloom in your house. As long as there is enough root for the lily it will come back next year.

Other than some stomach pain from overeating, the chipmunk will be fine. Don't worry.
Yes.
