Peace lilly..poisonous?

Question:I have heard that some plants are poisonous to toddlers. My mother-in-law just recently got a peace lilly. Can anyone tell me if this is poisonous? I have a 21 month old and he's going to be down there this weekend and I want to warn her and ask her to put it away while he is there if so.

Thanks

Answers:
nope peace lilly is not poisonous

If there was to be a top ten most loved houseplants then I would bet on the Peace Lilly being if not top very close. Large dark green leaves and its simple white spathe flower give it a look all to itself. 'Sensation' is a monster Peace Lilly with very large luxurious leaves and big flowers produced throughout most of the year. 'Chopin' is a dwarf cultivar which is an ideal windowsill or table decoration plant.

Site: Bright indirect light to dark shade.

Temp: Keep warm over the winter min 60°F.

Water: Water well over the summer months and less over the winter. Place in a pebble tray or mist regularly to keep up humidity. Wash the leaves regularly.

Feeding: A liquid feed every month over the growing season.
