In my opinion, Hunter sprinklers are one of the best available on the market. They're not usually found at hardware/garden shops but can be purchased at most landscape supply stores. Hunter makes a variety of sprinkler heads designed for small, large and odd-shaped areas. I've found them to be very reliable and durable. I have a 3,000 sq. foot lawn and haven't had any problems with them since the initial installation 16 years ago.

it all depends on your water pressure. this determines how many sprinkler head syou can install. the better pressure, the less amount of zones you will need, the lower the pressure, the more zones with less sprinkler heads you will need.
Hunter is the best. rainbird is second.
