we just bought a self-propelled mower called weed eater from wal-mart it was 100 bucks and it does the job very well I trip our grass with it and also I mow a Business with it.
A Murray is a OK lawn mower if your yard is pretty level, You have to really take care of it and its affordable. It don't matter what you get as long as the motor is a Briggs-Stanton, Honda make a real good one A lot of mowers I work on have these motors hope this helps
You need to provide a little more information for this question to be fully answered. If you have a large area to mow you might consider a riding mower, If the area is moderate in size, a rotary mower with a grass catcher and power assisted wheels will make mowing easy, make sure you get one with enough horse power, like 6.5 hp, if you have any hills or ir you want to grind up garden trimmings to use as mulch.
If your lawn is small an you have access to an electrical outlet, you might consider an electric mower, just plug in and mow.
