Why are the leaves on my lillys turning brown well almost maroon? they wont grow, what can i do to help them?

Question:i have pink lillys, callalillys, and yellow lillys. they are all dead, i pick the dead flowers off but still no bloom. How often should I use miracle grow? Could it be cats harming my flowers? Please I need help ASAP!

Answers:
It sounds like your plants are suffering from magnesium deficiency it comes up in patches on the leaves, what you need is a hydrated magnesium sulphate you will get it at your garden centre. you should use miracle grow once every two weeks usually, make sure the ground is wet before you apply it. if this doesn't work just spy on your cat's next time they go out they could be to blame after all, good luck anyways xx

A lot of my plants are confused, leaves that should go brown in October have already lost their green, guess it is because it has been cold at some stages, I've had the heating on indoors instead of a fan, so I can imagine why the plants are confused, plus of course a lot of them came out early because we had an earlier summer (yes that was summer!!)
