I have one of these. It is a Radermachera sinica, sometimes labled a Radermachera Danielle or sometimes even Stereospernum suaveveolens. The plant is native to Taiwan, but will tolerate dry air indoors.
My little plant book also says that it likes to be warm, and that in the winter it can't get below 50 degrees F. It likes bright light but not the direct sun of the afternoon (too hot). The compost needs to stay moist, but do not waterlog. You don't need to mist it, and to repot it in the spring time.
My plant is in regular potting soil, outside in a container on my balcony in Long Beach CA, where it only gets morning sun and reflected sun off another building in the afternoon. It is quite happy and growing well.
Hard to say. Just guessing from the leaves you should water it about twice a week with one cup of water each time.
china doll. weekly
ask it. no, that sounds stupid! when the plant droops a bit and looks thirsty, give him a good drink of water. After a while of listening to your plants, you will go to a friend's house and notice which plants are not happy. It is just the same as cats and dogs and, dammit, people.
