How do you mow your lawn like they do baseball stadiums to get those nice lines?

Question:

Answers:
You need to cut the lawn in different directions, with straight lines. Cut it back and forth in straight lines in one direction, then go to a different direction. The second direction should not be at a 90 degree angle to the first, more like a 45 degree angle. It is hard to describe.

If you had a square, the first time you cut, your lines would be parallel to one side, say the left or right side of the square. The second time you cut, it would be diagonal, say from the top left corner to the bottom right corner. You could make it even nicer by cutting the third and / or fourth time in an even different direction. Either parallel bottom or top of the square, or the opposite diagonal direction.

Make sure your lines are nice and straight, and back and forth each swipe.

Hope this makes sense, hard to describe.

Good luck!

Keep the mowing deck close to the ground with scalping the grass. Mow in opposite directions. Water often and fertilize when scheduled. good luck.
Not only is the grass cut in different directions, They also use a roller to get the grass to lie in different directions to achieve those effects. Unfortunately, the effect is not that noticeable when viewed from the field level.
