I have something called rag weed in my garden how can i get shut of it?

Question:

Answers:
simply to pull it out. This is easily done since it has a poorly developed root system. Be careful however! The job must absolutely be done in June or July at the latest, i.e. before flowering.

To curb the spread of this weed, tend your lawn regularly. Mow it evenly, especially at the edge of your property, taking care to fill in any bare spots.

Although tearing out the weed is the most practical way to destroy it, a ragweed-infested lot can be mowed down to the ground regularly to keep this undesirable plant from flowering liberally and producing its devastating effect. When all else fails however, professionals are available to rescue a weed-infested property
Good luck

shut of it?

easy

close the door on it! lmao
spray it with weed killer.
pick it..dry it..get a rizzla and light up a spliff
Herbicide is the easiest way. Go to your hardware store and find one that's labeled to control ragweed.

If you don't want to use herbicides, you'll need to start pulling and digging. Not fun.
I haven't heard ragweed before, heard ragwort and it is really difficult to get rid of, dig out the roots, dry it and burn it, don't shake the flowers when you cut them, then cover the ground with polythene for a while, or put landscaping fabric down permanently, then soil or turf over.
Ragweed (ambrosia) pollen can remain airborne and be carried hundreds of miles away. It is a nasty allergen. It is the #1 cause of hay fever in the United States.

Speaking from personal experience, ragweed usually only reacts to aggressive herbicides, such as Roundup or Exterminator, both of which kill everything they touch.

Manual removal (pulling up) the ragweed is not recommended if you are sensitive to it. Fortunately I am not sensitive to it. At my last home I sprayed with Roundup, then pulled up several 5-gallon buckets of it every year. Unfortunately, my neighbors' yard was mostly ragweed, and it kept returning.

Good luck!
There are a couple of ways. The organic, which is to dig it out (its fairly shallow rooted) and then weed as necessary. On a large area this may take a while at this time of year.

Or, and this is my favourite, Blast the beggar with glyphosate spray, wait 2-3 weeks then remove at your leisure.
Buy a non-selective herbicide like Round-up and hit the leaves of the plant. It will die...
I assume it's the same as ragwort http://www.dgsgardening.btinternet.co.uk...
I find the best thing to do is to pull it up making sure you get all the roots out. At this time of year you may see yellow and black catterpillars on the plant. These are the larvae of the Cinnabar Moth which is beautiful so please dont put weedkiller on it as you will kill them too.

With the help of weed killers, I suggest you to take the evidence with you to the garden center for identification and to get the right product for the job.
it is easy to pull it up roots and all
i work in the lawn care business, perhaps i can help you..if you are dealing with weeds in your garden, it is not always a best idea to spray the weeds because contaminating other plants in the garden is very easily done when doing this..

.instead, get yourself some weed killer, and a knife.cut off the tops of the weed and apply the weed killer to the central roots of the weeds you wish to dispose of...this way the weed killer kills only what you are intending..

.and your garden stays.well.your garden
