I have so many weeds in the grass in my garden, how can i get rid of them for good?

The only effective way to rid your garden or grass of unwanted weeds is to dig them out. Yes it is hard work, and I have done it with success. Poisons do work but it is only a temporary solution.
THe average lawn has many plants besides grass.

Best bets:
If you have weeds in your grass, and you want to keep the grass but not the weeds, try Ortho's Weed-B-Gone. It will kill weeds, but not grass.
If you have grass and / or weeds in your garden that you don't want, try Round-up. That will kill most plants that it touches, so be careful not to spray anything that you don't want to die.

Try landscaping fabric (a big pain but it will help...some people use old newspaper), lots of mulch, and frequent weeding.
