Cucumber Plant Bugs??
Question:I have two cucumber plants. They were doing well, until something started to eat the leaves. I inspected them and there was dark brown, round bugs on the leaves and stems. It looked liked they were eating the plant. They were 1/2-1/4 cm long. I don't think they were scaley bugs, because those aren't that fat/round. As the bugs moved, light green stuff came out of their rear ends in two clumps(the spines/fuzz of my plant?). What are they and how do I get rid of them? The most I've seen on one plant is 3, on different spots.
Answers:
could be aphids. get sone SEVEN dust at you local garden store. you might have to take the bugs off one by one.then sprinkle the SEVEN on the plant and the soil around it. That should take care of any bugs.
I agree with the sevin dust you can get it in the garden area at Walmart too. sprinkle liberally over plant and the bugs will DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
They sound like squash bugs...a link is below...seven dust is good..but also you can buy a liquid sevin in a bottle that screws on to your wtaer hose..and applies itself as you spray..ni mixing no mess no guessing...heres a link on cucumber pests
