How do you get rid of Mushrooms on a lawn?
Question:I laid a new lawn last year and it's perfect except there are small mushrooms springing up... How do you get shut of them??
Answers:
They shouldn't be too much problem. could be a sign of poor drainage.
Fungicide.
pick em
Why would you want to get rid of them? Just be thankful they have chosen your garden and make the most of them.
just pull them like you would weeds. do you play golf use a #3wood.
Apply some fungicides in your lawn and don't over water your lawn.
you need to hire some smurfs
There are a number of possible reasons. The type of mushrooms gives a hint. If you used bonemeal in the mix, you are likely to get shaggy inkcaps. Just keep mowing the grass, they have a short attention span.
If you are getting the larger brown mushrooms, they usually only produce caps once a year so you can pick them and forget them. (If you're really brave you can eat them, but don't come and haunt me if they turn out to be death caps)
The real problem is when you get circles of mushrooms with pale wispy grass inside the ring (fairy rings). This suggests you have something rotting a foot or two below the surface. The only answer is to dig out the affected patch (and the old tree stump you forgot about) and relay it.
some kitchen salt on them, when the weather is hot. think it works with any thing not wanted in a garden.
Pick them and serve them up with some bacon, eggs, black pudding and sausage! ahhh!
Thought you had the green fingers me gent! Hmmmm.... small yer say...how small? Tell yer wot, you get the stella and those bb pots **(NOODLES)** in and al make me way doon, with this being my FIELD of expertize its only fair a come and see wot a can do to help cho oot!
