What is the BEST way to regrow or transplant a Canna Tropicana plant?

Question:I am in the process of moving and last year I planted a Canna Tropicana plant in the ground. I really love the way it has grown and bloomed. I want to know if it is possible (its survival) to bring it with me to my new residence. It has grown from 2ft to 6ft in the last year. Uprooting and replanting seems the most logical method for transplanting, but will it be successful once replanted?

Answers:
I find Cannas almost impossible to kill, they are tubers, so yes you can uproot them and take them with you they do allright in pots, also if they get watered regularly now they will droop a little when you pull them out but given time and water they bounce right back, just cut of the browning leaves.
