Clamatis Plant.?

Question:It's tied up with string as it is toppling over almost breaking the trellis.

Can I cut it back now. The flowers are no longer blooming or should I wait until the fall.

Thanks.

Answers:
i have dozens of clematis growing aren't they absolutely beautiful?
you can cut it back, but it won't bloom again this summer. if you dead head all the spent blooms you will encourage new flowers and get to enjoy your vine even longer. but if you choose to cut it back, don't do it too severely, just cut enough to keep it from falling over. cutting it back won't hurt it now, you just won't get too many more blooms this season.

you can cut them back and they will flower next year.new sprouts will come from the ground next spring. i wouldn't them back to much.
YES, it will not hurt it at all,
