How do i get rid of garden moles without killing them?

Almost all of the information you've been given is correct ... windmills, pepper, certain plants, traps, and yes even certain types of urine ... are all good deterrents. However, each of these solutions can have it's limitations depending on the size of your yard and your resolve ... because they don't really solve the heart of the problem, which is grubs.
As it is now, you obviously have enough grubs to keep the little buggers happy ... but once you run the moles off, there is nothing left to feast on the grubs and you can expect your grub population to multiply ... so if and when the food supply runs low at the neighbors house or you start to let your guard down ... guess where they are going to turn. On the other hand, just using grub killer isn't going to get rid of them over night because it's going to take some time to work.
So, my suggestion would be a two part solution - for the long term, visit your local home improvement center or nursery to get some grub killer. Check with them for your area, but you're most likely going to have to put it down 2-3 times a year like the previous poster said. For the short term, any of the deterrents listed will work ... you just need to figure out which one is right for you ... because depending on your situation and the size of your yard ... you may end up needing to use a combination of deterents.
And to answer those who want to know why you would want to get rid of moles in the first place. They can leave the surface of your yard terribly unstable, which can be very dangerous for anyone with little ones or elderly ones walking around the yard.
awww their cute
Hot sauce...the hotter the better, pour it in their holes...eventually they will move on to the neighbors yard=)
Hit them over the head with a toy mallet and put them in your neighbours garden
Keep them up all night with loud music - they'll move next door.
Flood your garden
Concrete you garden
there is a plant if you go to any plant nusery they can help
or just moth balls in all the holes
i also heard chillie pepper works but it didnt work for me the plant did
sprinkle dried crushed hot red pepper everywhere in your garden. plants will be fine, moles don't like it.
Good Luck
Moles can be a nightmare, where we used to live the garden was full of them!
We was told to put in some kids windmills (the kind they kids hold and they blow round in the wind) as they vibrate on the ground and the moles do not like it.
But you cab buy some contraption from the garden centre which you push into the ground and it makes a vibrating sound.
Offer them a cup of tea, be friendly and reasonable. I'm sure that they will move then.
Edit: Jaysis people whats with the negitivity.. it's a joke. Mind you Tea is the answer to everything really :D
let me rehome them!!
awww there cute I WANT SOME lol
why would you wanna get rid of them?
there not harming you in anyway
you could try planting some gopher purge, artemisia (wormwood), basil, chamomile, flax, garlic, lemon balm, mint, rosemary, marigolds, sage, petunia, or nasturtium.
This is an easy one. Find the entrance to one of their active tunnels. To do this, look for fresh dirt stirred up around the entrance to the tunnel. Get a 5 gallon bucket and dig down into the ground at the mouth of the tunnel deep enough to place the 5 gallon bucket completely in the ground. Place another bucket over both the entrance to the tunnel and the bucket in the ground.
The moles will come out of their tunnel and fall into the bucket that you have in the ground and you can take them on a trip into the country. If you haven't caught the mole in a day or two, move the bucket and try another tunnel entrance.
This one's an easy one. My sister had moles in her garden. She bought loads of those little hand-held children's 'windmills' and poked them at various places in the garden. Once the wind starts up it sends noises down the 'stem' which moves the moles on to your neighbours garden. Just don't tell the neighbours the trick!
Why get rid of them? Make them a part of your life and garden.

Some companies sell devices that emit high frequency noise that irritates and drives away gophers and other rodents. Here's one of them: http://www.getridofgophers.com/how-to-ge...
Pray to lord Jeezus to come down from heavens and smite those little varmints. Why do you think I am so successfull in Iraq. Heh-heh-heh, heh-heh-heh.
Hope this helps.

SpectracideTriazicide eliminates the grub worms on which the moles feast. Cover your yard according to instructions with SpectracideTriazicide 2-3 time per year or as needed.
Works really well for me.
I tried hot pepper and it worked for a wile but then I tried and yes it may sound sick but human urine, No shi t ! I poured some around the outside of my garden and a little inside and the moles left in a big hurry, I do this every year now and the moles have not been a problem, same goes for the neighborhood cats, squirrels, rabbits, and any other animal that feasted on all my vegetables every year. If nothing else works try it.
Try Fox Urine, they are a natural predator and the moles and chipmunks will move on if they smell there scent in there vicinity. Try an Agway store to find it, or look it up on line.
Windmill style mole chasers send an annoying vibration into the earth witch also drives them away. Also most rodents hate mothballs, which are easily dropped down their holes.
try bug spray. cover all their holes and leave one open and keep LOADS of CHILLI POWDER in water and chuck it in the hole they will run away for sure.just try
They can really tear up a yard huh. My mom has them as well, and her beautiful yard is now a torn up network of mole tunnels. She didn't want to kill them either. So we tried the windmills, high frequency noises, etc. They do make mole traps, but you must find the nesting site of the tunnel or their point of entry in order to place the trap. It's not as easy as it sounds, as we found tunnels that led all the way underneath her house. She is about ready to give in and put out mole bait to kill them. Same stuff as in rat poison, I think.
well good ? as atleast there is someone in this world who want to save animals..
well i am not so much aware abt the solution but try something which is not harmful to both i mean u and them too..
i really appriciate ur effort
Without killing them..hmmmmmmm.
Maybe you could surgicaly remove their arms and legs.
Moles live in tunnels that while helping to aerate soil, also provide passageways for other animals and may cause excessive soil disturbance and plant upheaval. Although moles help by eating insects like grubs, they also hurt by eating earthworms. Control them by eliminating the insects they feed on or trap as you would voles. Exclude them with barriers or trap at main runways with peanut butter bait or vitamin D (death results from calcium imbalance). Other repellents, such as castor oil, may help as will poison baits. Or get a cat or small dog.
Marigolds. I'm not entire sure you'll want them for your flower garden, bet they're great for vegetable gardens. If you mean you're lawn, I have no Idea. I live in the woods.
make sure that you move them into your neighbor's yard. Since you don't like them then I'm sure they will be glad for the gift. Just make sure you're happy!!
i have no idea how to w/o killing them but maybe u can lure them out and capture them.lol
So far, we haven't been able to get rid of them without killing them. My little neighbor likes to chop off their heads with a shovel. Now that's just gross. We trapped them, but sometimes my dogs would catch them, too.
I respect the fact that you do not want to kill animals but Dude ya don't get rid of them unless you trap them !! They breed twice a year and if ya's don't get rid of them your problem will just multiply !
