How do I get cats to stop pooping in my sandbox?

Answers:
You can't. You're going to have to buy a large cover for it. Go to your local lumberyard and give them the measurments for the sandbox.
put the lid on it that is the only way.
lol sorry, I know the feeling try putting moth balls under the box if you can cats stay away from moth balls.
get a netting to put over the area to keep them out
Your only option is to cover it.
Keep it covered when it's not in use. Also, you can spray a product called "*iss Off!" around the perimeter, if it's available where you live.
Dog urine keeps cats away. Kind of musky, but works.
tin foils stop all cats, spead it out in differnt places around the sand
I would be very interested to know the solution. I always had to cover the sandbox to prevent the cats from using it as a litter box.
This is easy with citronella oil as cats hate it. Just pour abit around the outside of the sandbox and you should have no more problems. But remember if it rains you will have to go out there and do it again. Cheers and good luck.
Feliaway or moth balls work the best!
I put a car alarm under my box and when the cat stepped in it set it off. It ran out of the yard and never came back but if ur cat is more mellow it might work.
goto your local pet supply store and purchase:
NATURE'S MIRACLE
just for cats
Stain & Order REmover
Spray it generously around the area that you want to keep cats out of. It WILL do the job..but remember to reapply as often as needed ----after watering or after rain, adverse weather etc
good luck
Easy: Put a piece of chicken wire on top of the sand, so they can't scratch
Please don't use chemicals in, near,on or around where your children are going to play!... Just make a cover and cover it when it is not in use.. P.S. Sand boxes used as litter boxes are the #1 source of children contracting parasitic intestinal worms. That's what a close friend who is a pediatrician told me, only no body talks about it because it is so repulsive!
