Is my redbud blooming again?

Question:So when by redbud was blooming late march early April it was warm 80's but then the next week abnormal cold front came and dropped to freezing temperatures. I live in Indiana. So all the flowers wilted away.

Now being July my tree is now full of leaves but i am starting to see little buds all around he trunk and limbs. Are they the buds for the new blooms for next year? or is my tree going to bloom again?

Answers:
Your redbud is very confused by the strange weather you have been having!! The basic instinct of any plant is to continue to try to flower/produce seeds. So your redbud may be trying to put out flowers even though the leaves are already out. I think that this a SECOND try for flowers this year. These are NOT next years flowers (the cold in winter will start those flowers).

Good Luck!!

No it will not bloom again until next year....These bud like things will fall off when the leaves dry.and fall
