Japanese Maple blown down in wind?

Question:Is there any way I can use rooting powder to try an save this beautiful small tree - the root is still in the ground, I have the 'clean cut' trunk and beautiful foliage - feel so sad to leave to die? Will the root still in ground, grow again?

Answers:
If tree is still complete push it in and should grow on. If tree has been cut you will find its touch and go depending on your climate. If it does regenerate it will only ever be a bush never a full tree again. If you want a tree, start over with a new one dont stuff around for a couple of years when a new one would be well developed. Rooting power will only work on cuttings dont waste your money.

It should regenerate with love and care, if you are lucky :)
I hope you can save it, they are my favourite tree of all, beautiful.
Ornamental trees should be staked ie. a supporting piece of wood driven into the ground about 4 inches away from the trunk and tied loosely to the trunk this will avoid the tree rocking about in the wind and keep it from blowing over, so if you stake this tree and use a good soil around the base about 2 or three inches higher than the surrounding soil it has a very good chance of surviving, about 90%. Points to note; don't tie the tree too tightly to allow for growth and make sure the stake has a pointed end to avoid damage to the roots.
