Good flowering plant for the office?

Question:Since i spend quite a bit of my day in my cube, I would like to add some colour to it.

I want to get a flowering plant, but I dont get a lot of natural sunlight. I keep my cube light on for my current plant and he seems to be doing pretty well.

My co-worker has an orchid, but it blooms very rarely. Infact it hasnt since she got it, so she put a fake flower in the pot with the plant :D

I was wondering does anyone know a good flowering plant that will thrive in an office enviornment (no natural light & ac)

Also, i know i am be asking for a little too much but i would like it to bloom regularly and not once every 3 months or so(please dont say get a fake one- ha ha)

Answers:
african voilets
mini carnation plants...( good smell as well)
mini tea roses ( good smell)
you could also try plantsing petunias or begonias in a planter bucket.. these are annuals .. but the bloom as long as it doesnt get too cold !
good luck!

orchid is great!! ily
The only house plant that I can think of that flowers more than once a year is the miniature rose. If you provide the mini with adequate light then it should bloom like a ordinary rose planted outside. You can get special plant growing bulbs at most home and garden stores.
I like the peace lily for an indoor plant that's easy to look after. It's nice and green and gives elegant white flowers. Kalanchoes are good too and come in a variety of colours if you want something bolder.
I always think orchids are really difficult to care for and very temperamental.
So, you want a regularly blooming houseplant that can survive in a heated dry office without natural light ? Firstly very, very, few plants of any type flower continuously, and none will survive in a `cube`. Any flowering plant you put in such conditions will carry the flowers it has, and never flower again. I suggest you buy a succession of small indoor plants in flower, and replace them regularly.Kalanchoe, African Violets, etc.
Sugar cane bloom.
I like African Violets. They're pretty and easy to take care of.
Let me start with blooming time frame you have indicated. Without natural light from windows or sky lights, you are requesting a lot. However, try these suggestions. First the plant; The plant is Spathphyllum. Also called a peace lilly. Beautiful white bloom. Will not bloom all year. 2-3 times a year if the care is proper. Plant in 12 in. size pot. Set a small 4in. african violet on your desk for a week at a time, returning it home for the week-end in good light. Many colors-many plants.
