How do you make mulch from fallen plums on the ground?

Question:

Answers:
compost the fallen plums.. use them as soil amendment next year. be sure you get all of the pits out, or you'll get lots of new plum trees growing. Fruit won't make a good mulch.. too wet and likely too sour. you may need to add lime to make it usable compost, depending on your soil.

Put them in a compost pile
Um, do you mean plumes of like tree branches or actual plums? Plums will rot and draw teeny tiny aggravating little flies called fruit flies. No, not good mulch.
Fallen fruit does not make mulch. Mulch is usually dead material such as straw, leaves and bark. Plums do, however, make an excellent compost. The following is a very simple article on composting: http://id.essortment.com/compostpilehow_...
