Is there such a plant that repels snakes?

Question:My husband saw a snake near our home the other night and I am really terrified of snakes. Is there such a plant that repels snakes and where in our yard is it best to plant them. Thanks in advance.

Answers:
Never heard of such a thing.

Snakes are more scared of you. Even the most poisonous, which certainly may not be what your husband saw, will slither away from your shadow in a heartbeat.

If you have snakes nearby, all the better for you. It means you also have rats, moles and vermin that they're doing you a favor to remove. Snakes won't bring on diseases, but the rats will..

Too bad bible stories have done so much harm to the reputation of such a good reptile...

Not sure but heard once that hemp like rope strung out deters the snake from crossing over it... Know sleepy lizards are a snake deteriant and kookaburras love snakes...
