My dahlia's are coming on nicely. can I move them now or not?

Question:

Answers:
not recommended, but if you are desperate, I know dahlia's
always bush out more than one expects, here's how you go. First of all water the plant thoroughly the evening before, having prepared the hole at its new home, and fill with water. The Following day dig up your dahlia, keeping as much soil as possible around the tubers, plant and water in. The dahlia may droop for a couple of days but they are hardy little buggers and will soon pick up. Do NOT do this on a warm sunny day. They are not quite in bloom yet, about the middle of July for my part of Shropshire.
enjoy the summer, it can't get much worse, can it ?

i would wait until after they bloom, if u move them now, they will go into shock and probably won't bloom this season.
NO, if they are in bloom why would you disturb them ,wait until they are in a dormant state.
The usual rule with any plant is dont move when in flower, however if you dig deep enough in the ground where you have got them and dont desturb the root's too much you might gt away with it good luck xxx
