Answers:
Depends what sort of plants they are. Some need acidic (ericaceous) soil eg camellias and they suffer from too much lime which turns them yellow. You can put them in pots or water in epsom salts or similar but it won't cure them permanently. If you have chalky soil, that is probably your problem. Otherwise it might be watering but it hasn't been that dry lately. They may also not be getting enough light if they're under a tree - they may also not be getting enough water if next to a tree.

You may have overwatered them but they may need feeding also
i grew plants indoors and the leaves went yellow then brown. they soon fell off the plant. the plant was dying. i moved the plants outside and planted them in the ground. i would suggest watering the plants frequently to make sure they are always hydrated. make sure they aren't being burnt by too much sunlight. i don't think its too much watering but i'm not dismissing that idea.
try maybe using a fungicide plant spray. Not exactly sure what it is but it could be a fungus. Sometimes the leaves will turn yellow before they die but I wouldn't give up on the plant yet. If the leaves are yellow they will probably fall off.
Have you moved the plant? if you have put it back to were it was
It could be over watering or it could be in a draft
Sounds like the problem here is water-related. The best thing to do is plant them in GOOD QUALITY potting soil or else worm castings a.k.a. vermicast. These soils are LOADED with nutrients and more importantly, they time-release wtare and other nutrients to your plants to make sure they don't drown or get too thirsty. Check www.1800TOPSOIL.com to see if they have a local branch. You can also try to call 1-800-TOPSOIL, and see if they have soemone local. They're national and they're good. Good luck!
the plants are low on nitrogen because of over watering. Solution, water them less.
i had the same problem, i was told to water less often and it worked, it could also be the position you have them in.
