I live in Michigan and my family grows corn on their farm. They will be picking their first round of sweet corn next week, so corn should be coming into your stores anytime now.
When I lived in Michigan, the corn was harvested in mid to late August.
If they got a head start in a greenhouse, in the next few weeks.
Your best bet is to visit your local farmer's market and get it straight from the mouths of the experts...
I bet it will be ready in a week or two. It depends on the weather a bit - if there's been adequate rain then the corn will ripen by mid July, even in New Hampshire where I grew up. Today's varieties tassle and bear cobs much sooner than the older stuff. I live in South Eastern PA, and they're picking fresh native sweet corn here now. YUMMY!
Here in Utah the farmer stands began selling it last week. It's so good!
