Peppers. How will I know when they are done?

Question:I just planted in containers Jalapenos, Poblano peppers, cayenne, habanero and tabasco. how will I know when they are ripe?

Answers:
Cayenne will turn Dark Red. habenero stay green but deepen in color substantially. Jalapenos stay green but darken as well. Not sure about Poblano peppers. If growing in containers indoors you should use a Q Tip to place pollen from flower to flower for a higher yield!

They can be used at any stage.

Hot weather will help spice them up. When used green they are usually hotter than when they turn red or orange at which time they are getting sweeter.
when they get size to them
fer a habanero ..bite down hard and chew slow..if its hot it is dun LOL
They turn red
The Jalapenos start looking leathery .The Habaneros turn orange and the cayenne and tabasco turn red.Sorry we have not grown the poblano but check the little tag that came with it.the picture usually shows it .Enjoy
