Can jasmine bushes grow in Illinois? Need advice on caring for one.?

Question:I use to live in Louisiana and they have jasmine bushes everywhere but living here in IL i dont see them. Will the cold kill them? How do I care for one here in Illinois?

Answers:
Yes, the cold here in Illinois will kill Jasmine. Plant in a pot and bring the plant indoors during the cold winter months.

I doubt it will survive the winters. Treat it as though it were an annual. Plant it again next spring.

Not what you wanted to hear, I'm sure.. hope for the best.

Good luck!
I know that honeysuckle which is close to jasmine can grow in Michigan where I'm from.
