I like Schultz for the white powdery type and B-1 for the liquid type. I dip the end of the plant in B-1 and then in the Schultz powder. I have yet to have a baby plant not take using this method.

no one rooting hormone is better then the other. there is two types though... one for softwood cuttings and one for hardwood cuttings... just remember.. a little goes along way! if u get ur hormone at walmart or lowes... then it's the weaker of the two... for softwood cuutings that is. altough they make two types.. either one can be used for the same purpose.. just be careful on how much u use!
