Emergency!?
Question:dont have AC. dont have a fan. it 83 degrees. cant sleep. i tried cracking a window. didnt help. cold showers dont seem to do much. now im sweating. how can i cool my house down? all lights are off. all shades on windows are closed. no sunlight is getting in our house. so why am i still hot? i cant sleep with 83 degrees. even if im naked, i still cant sleep. help!

In the past in Phoenix, AZ, with the temperature around 110-117 degrees, I used a big bath towel. Just dampen with water, and drape it over your nude body. The heat from your body gets transferred to the wet towel, and the evaporation feels cool. Also, a fan blowing on the towel, and you helps with the cool evaporation even more. You can use a separate smaller towel for you head.
stick your head in the freezer for a few minutes...this always cools me off when i'm somewhere with no AC...its silly but it works

Put your boxers in the freezer (make sure they are not wet first, otherwise bad results will follow) and then put them on right before you go to bed.
it don't matter what you do. i went through the same thing a while back you go try as much as you want all you have to do is relax and you will get to sleep trust me i had to do it in 90 degrees with bugs and three dogs. you will be fine
Open your fridge and clear everything out - including the shelves. Climb in and shut the door. Now will you go away?! No one here feels sorry for you.
