Getting rid of rock?

Question:We're moving to our first house in less than a week (VERY EXCITING!), and there is a lot of rock around the house. Since we had a toddler who likes to eat rocks, we're not keeping them around.

Obviously this can be easily removed manually, but where should we dump it?

We can't just toss it in with the trash--we have already asked.

Any ideas?

Answers:
I don't know where you are, but in UK the alternative to the Craig's list is www.freecycle.com - you can give away unwanted stuff, all adverts are free. One man's trash - another man's trasure. If you are in the area not covered by any of these groups - you can post a note on your community notice board or in townhall. Also in a local garden centre. You may ask them in the garden centre if they want to take it off your hands.
Alternatively - walk around, get to know your neighbours, see if any of them is doing up their garden or rockery, or doing any building works, and offer your rocks to them. If you don't know any of them - you may go to extreams and put a note through theis doors asking if they need free rock for their garden. Give your house number in case they want to come around, and your phone if you don't mind.

go on Craig's List and try to give them away for free.chances are someone will want them fo something. here's a link:
