Is there something on the market to spray yard for snakes?
Question:Somekind of repellant. Really strong
Answers:
No, and chances are that the snakes in your yard are just common garden snakes and black racers. They are harmless. These little guys are beneficial and in my experience are very shy. I only come into contact with them when I am moving landscape stones or when I accidentally injure or kill one while hoeing or weed eating.
If by chance you encounter a dangerous one, say, one that rattles then you should call animal control to take care of it. Anyhow, good luck.
Yep, but I have no idea if it really works. Just do a Google for snake repellents.
Pestproducts.com and serpentguard.com are two sites that come up.
I see some say sprinkle lime and others say sulfur..so where the soils are alkaline use sulfur and lime on acidic soils?? I imagine you'd spread this around the perimeter to keep them from coming in.
Your best bet may be to create a snake free zone by constructing low walls around a patio for example. This is how immigrants to our area dealt with the snakes as well as other deadly animals.
Good luck.
