Help - China Girl Holly?
Question:Can someone give me general care info on these plants. The various shrubs in my garden are generally doing great, but the China Girl Holly's are struggling. 2 died last year and the other two have come back this year, but look weaker and less full than last spring.
P.S. - I live in NJ.

They prefer part sun. Best if shaded from direct sun light in winter. Avoid planting on south side of a building. This latter is very important to the long term viability of these plants; they will struggle in this elevation. No special needs as to soil or watering requirements. You can prune at any time. No serious pest problems. They are drought tolerant once established.
If soil acidity is an issue, they should appear chlorotic (yellow leaves with green veins).
soil acidity probably needs adjustment.
