I found a caterpiller on my lime tree and can't identify it?

Question:This caterpillar when evoked, protrudes red tenticles from it's head, I guess as some type of defense mechanism! It's skin matches the bark of the lime tree exactly (as would be expected). I would love to know, after metamorphasis, what moth or butterfly this will become? As impressive of a caterpillar, would it be as impressive as it's next form?

Answers:
Is it big, fat, fuzzy and black? Gypsy moth. and if so, good luck!
