Trouble shoot MTD riding mower - briggs and stratton engine?
Question:This lawn mwer starts and runs fine after being charged, but when we shut it off and try it again it stalls and wont start. battery is charged

If the mower seams like it begins to turn the engine over and it stops like hitting a brick wall, then it might be the valves are out of adjustment, if it is an over head valve. Have had this happen several times. Check with your local Briggs & Stratton dealer for more details.
check to see if there is a good conection with the battery cables. also some ridding mowers do have an alternator consider having it checked. also make sure all safety switches are were they should be ex. the blades being engaged. and MOST OBVIOUS of all be sure the mower has gas.
