If someone were to only eat vegetation grown on a farm how much would he consume in a year?

Question:I think this would be difficult to find and I even tried myself. If it is at all possible I would like to know how many acres. That is how many acres are used to grow the food that he eats. Doesn't matter what kind of crop.

Answers:
Actually, it matters a great deal. If your "person" wants to eat beef, it will take a lot of acreage to feed the cow. However, if the person is vegetarian (or maybe eats eggs and chickens), a good sized garden (less than an acre) can feed a person for a year (at least in California with no snow!!).

Good Luck!!
