Wild mushrooms... poisonous?
Question:How do you kow if mushrooms that grow in your yard are poisonous?
Answers:
unless you know mushrooms.. and know them very well.. don't eat any that you find in the yard..
I would NOT eat any mushrooms from your yard, forest, etc. unless you want to risk getting very ill. You can always pick it and consult a guide book, online, etc.
Feed it to the dog,if he keels over you know its poisonous

There no easy way to tell if a mushroom is poisonous. If you're interested in learning to identify some mushrooms, a great book for beginners is called "All that the rain promises and more" by David Arora. It only includes common and tasty mushrooms that don't have poisonous lookalikes. Also, it's a really funny book.
