Question:how do u know when carrots and lettuce are ready to be picked?
Answers:
You can tell when to pick lettuce because it grows above the ground. Just cut off the leaves that are the right size for you.
The lettuce should look like lettuce does in the supermarket.
The carrots you can try and wiggle them out of the soil a little bit and you can tell if they are big enough. I you pull them out when they are smaller, they taste sweeter.

I usually pick my carrots when I can see the top orange part of the carrot coming up above the soil a bit. Pull one or two and if they are the size you want then keep pulling up what you need. If they are too small, stop pulling and wait another week.
