Hot indian pepper...?

Question:I bought these awesome peppers at the farmers market last summer off an on throughout the summer. I took the seeds out of one and dried them. I put them away for the winter and I am trying to grow my own this year.
They are a different variety. Sort of a reddish brown color and called a hot indian (something) pepper. I planted several seed in a container and I have been keeping the dirt moist and warm. But it has been about 2 months now and they still havent germinated. Any ideas? I would really like to grow these on my own considering I have only been able to purchase them from one place and havent seen them anywhere else.

Answers:
Did you soak them before you planted them? Sometimes seeds should be soaked 24 hrs in a wet paper towel and then planted. Make sure they have enough heat.
