i work at a sub shop and we take small cups pour vinegar in them and put saran wrap on top we then poke small holes into the wrap and put out the cups-- it attracts the flies but usually they wont be able to get out it is also helpful if you put them around somewhere you do not mind them being-- such as not around food--
