How do you find a hole in an above ground pool?

Question:How do you find a hole in an above ground pool?

Answers:
There is a product available from your local pool dealer. It is a dye pack. You shoot the dye into the pool and allow it to fully disperse, wait a day or to, and the area of the liner that is leaking will be darkened by the dye in the water that is escaping

Walk around it and look for any wet spots.
My idea would be to let it drain out then if it only drains half-way that means the hole is at that level. If it goes all the way down fill it with a little bit of water and watch where it drains the quickest. Other than that idk what you could do.
If this pool has an additional wall added to outside-like a cedar enclosure for looks-let the water drain til it stops on its own and you will be able to locate the leak and repair it.

If it is a single-wall type with the same material inside as faces out-you can make a soapy solution with water and dish soap, paint it over the outside with a paint brush where you suspect a leak and soap bubbles will keep appearing on the outside where the leak is.
If the hole is on the bottom or near it, you should be able to see a bubble or bubbles rising up through the water on the inside and don't need soap to locate.
Dish soap or non-conditioning shampoo is best because it rinses well and doesn't leave a soapy residue that would interfer with the patch adhesive.

Once you locate the leak(s), clean the area thoroughly and rough up the place to be patched with an emery board or sandpaper to remove gloss and leave a better rough surface for the patch to bond well. Give it plenty of cure time.

If it is a small hole, that doesn't need a patch, I have used a product called "ShoeGoo" for Sportsmen that works very well. Still needs to be cleaned and roughed up for best results. It stays flexible and stretches with the wall when filled without popping off. Use on inside or out-water will not affect it once it is cured.
