Growing Bamboo?

Question:What is the best way to grow Bamboo. Seiously, I am a beginner and would like to know.

Answers:
Find one that is already successfully growing in your area and make sure it's a non-invasive clumping variety if you plan to grow it in a garden bed.

If you're hoping to grow it in a container then most varieties of bamboo would be okay.

Growing Bamboo is fun and easy. It also is said to bring good fortune! The Chinese believe that Bamboo will make you lucky in love. So you really have no reason, not to grow it! Remeber when planting Bamboo in pots, the container should be much larger in size than the plant itself. You do not want to overwater Bamboo because the roots will not thrive in wet soil. You will know when the plant needs water because the leaves slightly curl up. Bamboo grows well in full to partial sunlight and needs very rich soil. (so don't buy the cheap stuff.) Avoid fertilizer or manure based soils, as they will burn the roots inside. If you need more info you can try www.bamboos.com. Good Luck and Happy Planting!
