I have several holes in my lawn. There are no heaps of dirt. Can it me a mouse or a mole or a gopher?

Question:I tried the juicy fruit gum. The ants are all over it. What else can I do to get rid of this rodent?

Answers:
do you live in a low lying area if so it could be craw dads also known as crawfish they can leave a bunch of holes in your yard about the size of a golf ball. try scattering granulated mothballs all around your yard. i hope this helps.

it is possible that it may be a garden snake or other small kind of snake (depending on where you live). To get rid of them there are spikes that you put into the ground that actual deter rodents and they actually work well. For information go to your hardware store or call pest controllers.
It may be moles or voles. Are there raised 'tunnels' all over? Like a raised area of ground, where they are tunneling underneath?

I live in VA and they are are huge problem here. We tried gum, spraying water underground to get them out, nothing worked until we got MILKY SPORE and that is expensive and takes a couple of years to work. But now...we are mole and vole free.
It sounds like moles... I'm not sure on the best way to get rid of them, but my g-father used to use his walker to kill them.
Sorry, I have no other suggestions.
